“Decisiveness is a characteristic of high-performing men and women. Almost any decision is better than no decision at all.” Brian Tracy
Yesterday we talked about the importance of taking action and not waiting until all conditions are perfect before moving forward with your ideas. That of course requires you to make decisions. As Brian Tracy points out, successful, high performing people are decisive in their approach to life. Win or lose, they make decisions and take action to implement those decisions. They do this because they carefully weigh the upside potential in opportunities and then decide to give their best to make their ideas work.
Sometimes people who have experienced limited success in life position themselves to remain limited by missing important opportunities to make progress towards bigger things. They don’t realize that taking too long to make a decision about an opportunity is in itself a decision, but usually the wrong one, especially when it was not arrived at by sincere evaluation.
Before you allow an idea or an opportunity to pass you by, at least take decisive action to complete your due diligence, and then make an affirmative decision to either move forward or not. Do you homework objectively and you will find yourself making better decisions in business and in life.
